# Justy's Creative Portfolio > Still Human! Still making cool stuff.. Justin James Clayden — "Justy" — is a Creative Technologist who has spent more than thirty years making things that move, talk and glow. This is his portfolio: interactive installations, animation, web experiments, hardware builds and voiceover work. The home page is an interactive 3D laboratory. Six lasers, one per "element" — atoms, bits, brain waves, electrons, photons and pressure waves — fire into a synthesis chamber and assemble a project from the raw materials it was built out of. The laboratory needs WebGL and JavaScript, so the full index of projects is reproduced below in plain HTML for readers and agents that do not run it. Every page on this site is also available as Markdown: request it with the header `Accept: text/markdown`, or append `.md` to the URL. It handles the usually quite difficult cases involving the boundaries between two immiscible fluids, allowing for highly complex interactions between them, including: Splashes, bubbles, waves, and so much more: Fluid splashes in a bowl A bubble rises within a fluid Waves in a fluid In the past I would read a paper like this, injest its meaning, and spend days if not weeks creating an implementation from scratch. Instead, I decided I would use Claude Code to assist me with the task. We produced initially a 2D implementation, then a 3D implementation. I liked the 2D version a lot, and so extended it to support arbitrary shapes via bitmaps, as well as colouring the shapes using RGB bitmaps. I also implemented an orchestration system that allows objects and forces to be introduced at arbitrary times during the simulation. Thus I present a video I made using this system, that invites the viewer to see what's possible when you come and visit https://justy.me - enjoy! (It's at the top of the post, but in case you didn't click it there, here it is again:) --- # PoliceBank Home Loan Campaign Published: 2026-03-04 Tags: voiceover Elements: voiceover Canonical: https://justy.me/blog/pressure-waves/policebank-home-loan > Justy provided the voiceover for a PoliceBank home loan campaign spot. ### PoliceBank Home Loan Campaign Justy provided the voiceover for this PoliceBank home loan campaign — a 15-second spot delivering a warm, trustworthy tone to match the brand. --- # Vehicle Efficiency Standards Published: 2026-03-04 Tags: voiceover Elements: voiceover Canonical: https://justy.me/blog/pressure-waves/vehicle-efficiency-standards > Justy provided voiceovers for a series of Vehicle Efficiency Standards social media spots. ### Vehicle Efficiency Standards Justy provided the voiceover for this series of social media spots promoting vehicle efficiency standards — three short, punchy reels designed to cut through the scroll.

--- # Australian Cancer Plan Published: 2026-01-01 Tags: web Elements: web Canonical: https://justy.me/blog/photons/acp > Justy project managed and helped build the Australian Cancer Plan website for Cancer Australia via Paper Moose. ## Australian Cancer Plan Website ![Australian Cancer Plan homepage](/static/images/blog/acp/acp-homepage.png) Justy led the information design and project management for Cancer Australia's [Australian Cancer Plan](https://www.australiancancerplan.gov.au/) website, delivered through Paper Moose. The Australian Cancer Plan is the national strategy for cancer control in Australia. It's a substantial site -- six strategic objectives covering everything from prevention and early detection through to workforce development and health equity, with dedicated sections for ten focus populations and seven stages of the care pathway. Structuring stakeholder consultation summaries, implementation frameworks, and monitoring strategies into something navigable required careful information architecture and close collaboration with government stakeholders. Justy also handled a significant proportion of the web implementation, built in React with Sanity as the CMS. Justy built the full implementation of the recently released [Implementation Plan](https://www.australiancancerplan.gov.au/implementation-plan) -- a filterable database of initiatives across the ten-year agenda, with search, pagination, and breakdowns by timeframe, stakeholder, and population group. This kind of work sits right at the intersection of information design, front-end development, and content strategy. Information design, web development, and project management by Justy. --- # City of Parramatta FOGO Jingle Published: 2024-07-24 Tags: voiceover Elements: voiceover, music Canonical: https://justy.me/blog/pressure-waves/fogo > City of Parramatta FOGO Jingle ### City of Parramatta FOGO Jingle In late 2023 the City of Parramatta commissioned Paper Moose to write them a jingle for the [2024 rollout of FOGO](https://papermoose.com/our-work/case-study/feed-it-to-fogo). Pete Saladino provided an initial set of lyrics, which Justy then refined with him to create the final version. Justy wrote and performed the music for this jingle, including character voices (and the burp -- hey, he's a professional). The client was delighted, and below you'll also find some instructional videos designed to help people identify the best places to dispose of their food scraps and garden waste. This project highlights Justy's versatility -- from songwriting and musical performance to voice acting, all delivered within a commercial production pipeline at Paper Moose. *Feed it to FOGO!* #### Instructional Video One #### Instructional Video Two #### Instructional Video Three --- # Seismic Blasting Published: 2024-01-31 Tags: voiceover Elements: voiceover Canonical: https://justy.me/blog/pressure-waves/seismic-blasting > Justy provided the voiceover for a piece on seismic blasting. ### Seismic Blasting Justy provided the voiceover for this piece on seismic blasting — a longer-form read demanding clear, authoritative delivery across nearly two minutes. --- # Starlight Tour de Kids Published: 2023-09-28 Tags: voiceover Elements: voiceover Canonical: https://justy.me/blog/pressure-waves/starlight > Justy provided voiceovers for Paper Moose's Starlight Foundation Tour de Kids campaign. ### Starlight Tour de Kids Justy provided voiceovers for Paper Moose's Tour de Kids campaign for the Starlight Children's Foundation -- lending his voice to a cause that matters, with the warmth and clarity the brief demanded.

Justy designed and programmed all of the electronics, creating a responsive light display that drew visitors into the experience. Construction by [Better Sets](https://www.bettersets.com.au/). This project demonstrates Justy's ability to bridge creative concept and technical execution -- from circuit design and embedded programming through to a polished, public-facing installation. ![Photo of the infinity mirror](/static/images/blog/edsquare/frame1.jpg) ![Photo of the infinity mirror](/static/images/blog/edsquare/frame2.jpg) --- # High Striker Published: 2023-08-28 Tags: electronics, code, installation Elements: electronics, code Canonical: https://justy.me/blog/atoms/high-striker > A high striker game for Drop Box's first conference. ## High Striker A high striker game for Dropbox's first conference. File sync juggernaut Dropbox held their inaugural conference in the expansive Fort Mason Pavilion in San Francisco. Ninja Blocks sent Justy over to build a 'High Striker' -- a carnival game in which you swing a hammer at a pad and try to launch a projectile high enough to ring a bell. All construction, electronics and programming by Justy. The project spanned physical fabrication, sensor integration and embedded code -- built on a tight deadline and shipped internationally for a major tech event. --- # Raising Awareness of Macular Degeneration Published: 2023-08-28 Tags: electronics, code, installation Elements: electronics, code Canonical: https://justy.me/blog/atoms/macular > An installation that simulates the onset of macular degeneration ## Raising Awareness of Macular Degeneration Justy designed and built this installation to simulate the progressive onset of macular degeneration, giving viewers a visceral sense of what the condition feels like. Combining custom electronics with thoughtful interaction design, the piece turns an abstract health topic into a tangible, personal experience -- the kind of work where technology serves a genuinely human purpose. --- # Progress Mechatronics Published: 2023-08-28 Tags: code, electronics, stopmotion Elements: electronics, code Canonical: https://justy.me/blog/atoms/progress-mechatronics > Visualising progress using mechatronics ## Progress Mechatronics A proof of concept for a physical progress visualisation built by Justy. The closer the Justy figure on the left gets to the trophy, the closer he is to the financial goal. The closer the monster gets, the more time has run out! This early prototype blends mechatronics, code and a touch of character design to turn abstract data into something immediate and physical -- an approach Justy continues to explore in his creative technology work. --- # Collider Telescope Published: 2023-08-28 Tags: installation Elements: woodworking Canonical: https://justy.me/blog/atoms/telescope > Justy built a wooden telescope for film production company Collider. {/* */} Justy built a wooden telescope as a prop for film production company Collider.
